After Everything is an ongoing collection of images produced as a meditation on my own fears concerning dementia. With several women in my life having been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in recent years, the prospect of myself or my mother being faced with memory loss has become a real threat. The work features Butterfly Pea Flower dye, a highly fugitive dye applied as watercolor. Due to the nature of this material, exposure to UV rays will inevitably result in the near-complete fading of the image.
